WHAT IS IMMUNOSTAINING?

Immunostaining is a laboratory technique used to detect and visualize specific proteins or antigens in cells or tissues. This method relies on the use of antibodies that selectively bind to the target protein of interest. Cells or tissue sections are first treated with a primary antibody that recognizes and attaches to the specific antigen within the sample. Then, a secondary antibody is applied, which is labeled with a visible marker, such as a fluorescent dye or enzyme. This secondary antibody binds to the primary antibody, forming a detectable signal at the location of the target protein.

Latest Technologies Through Industry Partnerships

We have partnered with key industry leaders to provide the most state-of-the-art techniques to our clients. Through our partnership with Origene, we can provide cDNA-created cell lines for precision positive and negative controls. Our relationships with GeneTex, Cell Signalling Technologies (CST), Abcam, Rockland, and Novus allow us unprecedented access to the latest antibodies and pre-release data. We are also the first official CRO partner of Akoya on the east coast, which allows us to develop and run highly sophisticated multiplex IF panels.
